A Better Night’s Sleep Starts Here
As a sufferer of TMJ problems and sleep apnea himself, Dr. Moore began a journey to learn as much as possible about these issues as soon as he graduated from dental school in 1999. His years of training include instruction by world-renowned doctors such as Dr. Peter Dawson at the Dawson Academy, Dr. Mark Piper at the Piper Education and Research Center, and Dr. Steven Olmos at the TMJ and Sleep Therapy Center of Excellence.
In 2019, following the completion of a residency program in Dallas, TX, Dr. Moore was awarded the status of Fellow with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Prior to this Fellowship, Dr. Moore was certified by the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain in dental sleep medicine and craniofacial pain. This certification was obtained after completion of a mini-residency program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Moore is designated as a "qualified dentist" with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. This designation means that he has met and exceeded a specific level of training and education set forth by the AADSM to competently assess and treat patients for sleep-related breathing disorders such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea. He is currently working on achieving the designation of Diplomate with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Moore is working on a mini-residency through Tufts University in pediatric obstructive sleep apnea.
Originally from Parkersburg, WV, Dr. Moore returned to the Mid-Ohio Valley in 1999 upon completion of his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry.

How Does A Sleep Appliance Work?
An oral appliance fits over your teeth like an Invisalign tray while you sleep and supports your jaw in a forward position to keep your airway open. A custom-fit oral appliance can improve your sleep, restore your alertness, and revitalize your health.
If you and your doctor decide that oral appliance therapy is the best treatment option for you, your doctor will write a prescription and refer you to Dr. Moore who can make a custom-fit oral appliance. Dr. Moore will provide ongoing treatment to make sure your appliance remains comfortable and effective.
